Curbed LA's gentrification watch is a wonderful and horrific thing — an astonishing number of stories about historic buildings "getting major reno" or "undergoing trendy make-over," announcements of mixed-use buildings going up on major intersections everywhere, the hottest up-and-coming real estate markets, and speculation on which neighborhood is gentrifying next. From downtown's beloved Grand Central Market ("trendy makeover") to K-Town's Prince Apartment ("Major Reno") to the Frost/Chaddock "mixed-user" in Palms, these stories provide ample illustration of the transformation underway with infill development all over town.
