We need your help to talk to voters about the United to House LA ballot measure (Measure ULA)! Would you join us from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 27, for a Move LA-hosted VIRTUAL phone bank?
This is the ballot measure that Move LA’s Denny Zane drafted with homeless services providers, affordable housing nonprofits, labor unions, and renters' rights groups. It was put on the ballot by 98,171 LA renters, homeowners and small business owners who want to see real change.
You can tell whoever answers the phone that you are doing this for Move LA's ULA ballot measure so that we can win enough votes, with the goal of reducing homelessness and protecting low-income seniors by putting a roof over everyone's head!
Only millionaires and billionaires would pay—the measure would take a percentage of windfall profits from real estate sales over $5 million to invest back in our communities. And it would make housing more affordable by investing in innovative solutions that will create housing faster and at a lower cost than what we've tried before. It's a long-term funding source, which is why it will have a real and immediate impact in the City of Los Angeles.
Move LA has been working with others on this ballot measure for more than two years, and now we just need the votes! Sign up HERE to "join us" at our virtual phone bank on Sept. 27 (choose that date and indicate that you are with Move LA). If another date or place in the list on the sign-up page works better for you please join that virtual phone bank instead! And THANK YOU!
Paid for by Move LA, a Project of Community Partners, 1000 N. Alameda St., Suite 240, Los Angeles, CA. 90012.
