‘K’ Line Scavenger Hunt Guide

Team members willreceive a commemorative TAP Card to ride the ‘K’ Line, available until supplies last at the Move LA booth in Leimert Park on 43^rd Pl at Degnan. All points are awarded per team, and any team that gets 50 or more points will win a special edition K-Line commemorative pin and t-shirt for each participant (while supplies last)! Points will be awarded at the Move LA table in Leimert Park.

This contest starts after the ‘K’ Line opens (approximately 12pm) until 5:45pm on Friday October 7, 2022. Teams MUST arrive before 5:45pm to claim prizes. Contestants must follow the rules and use directions below for the tasks. Remember, a task ONLY counts if: 1. You have a picture/video of it AND 2. You post on Instagram or Facebook with your team name and the tag #MetroKLine and @movelatransit with the Task #.

TASKS (Points Represent the Maximum Points That Can Be Awarded)

Riding the K-Line

1. Take a photo or video at all 7 stations (Expo/Crenshaw; Martin Luther King Jr; Leimert Park; Hyde Park; Fairview Heights; Downtown Inglewood; Westchester/Veterans) along the K Line Route (maximum 20 points)
2. Take a photo/video where the K Line ends on either end (max 8 points)
3. Take a photo/video with a stranger on the train (max 5 points)
4. Show us your favorite thing about Metro and/or the K Line (max 5 points)
5. Get creative and take a photo/video that spells out K Line (max 5 points)
6. Take a photo/video with your team on the K Line (max 3 points)

MLK Station

7. How many years has Baldwin Hills Crenshaw mall been “going strong”? The answer can be found inside the bridge (max 5 points)
8. Find the Cupcake Warriors from the South in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw mall (max 5 points)
9. Take a photo with the mural that “lights the way” with “” (max 5 points)
10. Take this “post” at the Gold Award winning restaurant in Baldwin Hills (max 5 points)

Leimert Park

11.Take a photo/video of the station wrapped in a “rainbow” of colors (max 3 points)
