This Thursday, there will be not one but TWO motions on the LA County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) meeting that needs your support! With these two motions, we could see DRAMATIC increases in Metro ridership, especially on the buses. The future of our County looks bright!

Item 21: The Future of Buses! We are advocating for a World Class Bus System for LA County. Metro is concluding the process to completely re-design and improve the County’s bus network. We need your support to ensure the Metro's NextGen Bus Plan is funded and implemented so we can have a world-class bus system (agenda item here). Here is our letter to the Metro Board, signed by 22 organizations!

Item 46: Free Transit for LAUSD Students! Move LA has been leading a multi-year effort to improve transit ridership, reduce vehicle miles traveled, reduce absenteeism at school, reduce fare evasion tickets, and improve educational outcomes. This agenda item would direct the Metro CEO and staff to identify what resources it would take to provide free transit for all K-12 LAUSD students. Read the letter signed by 50 coalition organizations supporting this effort.
