We are thrilled to announce the launch of SoCal Transit Week, a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting sustainable transportation alternatives across our community. In partnership with America Walks, Week Without Driving, and the Coalition for Clean Air's 7th annual CA Clean Air Day on October 2, this event highlights our commitment to reducing emissions, improving air quality, and enhancing mobility options.
Compete in the SoCal Transit Week Scavenger Hunt
All week long, compete in the SoCal Transit Week Scavenger Hunt for a chance to explore all the region has to offer. Check out special transit-themed destinations, complete unique transit challenges, and snap pics throughout SoCal as you adventure on train, bus, and boat! Throughout SoCal Transit Week, participants will have the chance to score points through completing transit scavenger hunt tasks in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The 2nd Annual Clean Mobility Forum
The Clean Mobility Forum is a one-day in-person event focused on clean mobility topics and discussions. There will be an option for virtual attendance for keynote speeches and most sessions. The forum agenda includes a keynote plenary, panels, workshops, and a closeout plenary and reception. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect in person with clean mobility project awardees, experts in the field, and other potential partners, as well as learn about and share project lessons and successes. Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PDT.

Clean Air Day Joy Ride
Join us for a dynamic and scenic multimodal community bike ride celebrating Clean Air Day and SoCal Transit Week! Beginning at the Metro Bike Share station located at Grand & 3rd, this multimodal adventure will take you through the vibrant heart of the city as we explore downtown’s eclectic mix of art and architecture, enjoy the green expanses of Gloria Molina Grand Park, and delve into the historic charm of El Pueblo de Los Angeles. We’ll then pedal through the cultural richness of Little Tokyo before heading back to Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill Station via Metro rail from Little Tokyo/Arts District Station.
Don’t miss this chance to experience Los Angeles in a unique and engaging way, connect with fellow riders, and discover new facets of our city’s diverse neighborhoods in the downtown area!

Dance Cardio Without the Car!
Experience an immersive journey inspired by the natural elements using mindful movement, breathwork and meditation to strengthen your body, clear your mind and unlock your freedom of expression – and the bus!
Meet up at 10:50am at the bus stop on the Southeast corner of Westwood Blvd and Le Conte Ave and from there we will catch the 2 bus Sunset / La Brea . Then it’s a pleasant short walk to the KINRGY West Hollywood studio for a 45 minute KINRGY X session! KINRGY X is a signature dance cardio experience created by Julianne Hough (the host of Dancing With the Stars) that is centered on the elements + mindfulness and the class is great for beginners. SoCal Transit Week participants will get a discounted class fee of $20*. After an invigorating session we’ll head back to campus. See you on the journey! *Attendees will need to cover their bus fare

Easy Access E-Bike Ride:
Tour of Duarte Historical Museum with Move LA
Join ActiveSGV for our 2024 E-asy Access rides. We are partnering with Move LA and SoCal Transit Week, and participants can use public transit to get to our meet-up spot, ride to various points of interest, and learn more about the Emerald Necklace network. This week, we are featuring the Duarte Historical Museum at Encanto Park!
This ride will start/finish at the CITY OF HOPE Parking Lot (across Duarte/City of Hope A LINE STATION) and travel on city streets and bike paths. Due to its length, it is not recommended for anyone under 12. Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately to attend.

South Bay Transit Summit
South Bay Forward invites you to participate in our South Bay Transit Summit, in partnership with Torrance Transit and MoveLA's SoCal Transit Week. Join fellow advocates and urbanists to learn, discuss, and envision opportunities for region-wide transit and mobility to better connect cities across the South Bay and the Los Angeles region. We'll hear from Torrance Transit Planning Manager David Mach, tour the new transit center's facilities, learn about upcoming projects, and discuss mobility priorities with advocates and regional leaders.

West Hollywood Mobility Expo
The City of West Hollywood is hosting a Mobility Expo to increase awareness of the multi-modal transportation resources available to the community. The event is free and will be held on The Great Lawn at Plummer Park on Saturday, October 5th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Community members are invited to explore and engage with various mobility vendors, including free to low-cost transit services such as The Cityline, The WeHo Pickup, LA Metro, and available transportation services for older adults and people with disabilities.
Vendors will also share emerging transportation technology, such as autonomous vehicles and electric vehicle options. The event will also include a community bike ride and demos on bicycle safety. Light refreshments and other giveaways will be available to the public while supplies last.

Bus & Brews: A YPT Artwalk Adventure

Afterward, we'll embark on a group bus ride to the Brewery Artwalk in the vibrant Arts District-- don't forget your TAP card!
This open studio weekend features over 100 resident artists showcasing their incredible work in a transformed industrial space, complete with live music, delicious food, and craft beer from local breweries. Book Talk on the Bus
You're invited to Move LA's Book Talk & Swap on the Bus! Join us on Sunday, October 6 where we'll take the bus from the Norwalk Metro Station to the Last Bookstore in Downtown LA. Bring a book to swap or talk about with your fellow book-lovers! During the ride, we'll dive into discussions about our favorite reads, swap book recommendations (and books if you want to bring some to share!) Whether you love mysteries, sci-fi, non-fiction and whether you read classic paper books or prefer an e-reader, you are invited! Join us as we share and celebrate our top picks and don’t miss out on this literary journey! The famed poet Emily Dickinson said, "There is no Frigate like a Book" but that's only because she never rode LA Metro Bus!
Meet at the Norwalk Metro Station at 9:45a.m. and we'll take the 9:53am 460 bus's scenic route all the way to the Last Bookstore in Downtown LA. You can also join hop on board near the Crypto Arena at Figueroa St at Pico Bl at 10:19 AM!
