Join Move LA and partners in lobbying members of the California Legislature to ask for their support for Assembly Bill 610 (Holden) to create a groundbreaking statewide student transit pass program that enables every California student—from kindergarten to grad school—to easily access fare-free public transit.

We need a fare-free student transit pass program with benefits that are consistent with California priorities such as curbing climate change and air pollution by taking cars off the road, and providing students with the freedom to get to school, work, or other important activities.

The reasons for supporting a statewide student transit pass program couldn’t be more urgent as we persistently experience record-breaking extreme heat, and we must support every conceivable way to get people out of cars and the air pollution they create, and reduce student poverty. We support AB 610 because it will make public transit a truly public good for millions of Californians.

We will be lobbying from 9:30am-12:30pm and 2:00pm-4pm on March 15; from 1pm-1:45pmpm we will meet for a rally and lunch will be served! Assemblymembers Chris Holden and Tasha Boerner Horvath have both confirmed and more have been invited. We hope you are able to join us to make your voice heard on this important issue.
