Join us for the first in a series of roundtable conversations on deep decarbonization in California, while creating high-quality, sustainable jobs that improve the health, safety, and economic well-being of all working people in the construction industry. This inaugural session will explore offshore wind and port decarbonization at the San Pedro Ports—and how we can build a zero-emission future that creates new union jobs and protects vital ecosystems and frontline communities.

We’re bringing together labor leaders and environmental justice advocates to open a vital dialogue about clean energy, high-road jobs, and sustainability. This effort is being led by Move California and is funded through a grant from the Open Society Foundations in partnership with the AFL-CIO’s Working for America Institute and the ITUC’s Just Transition Centre. The State Building and Construction Trades Council of California’s President Chris Hannan and the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Executive Secretary Ernesto Medrano will attend and make opening remarks.

Facilitated by Days of Dialogue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization, this conversation aims to foster an honest exchange, shared understanding, and collective problem-solving.
