THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL JANUARY 2025

Please join us for a community “charette” –a community-based planning effort to define a pathway to design, fund, and implement projects in public spaces with legacy multi-modal and equitable benefits for mega-events like the World Cup, Paralympics, Olympics, and beyond. The questions we plan to address are: What does a legacy from the mega-events coming to the region look like to South LA? How can we ensure long term community ownership and maintenance of the investments made through the Festival Trail Initiative? What would a public space in the neighborhood look like? How do we plan for it?

We will utilize community planning tools to uplift accessibility, affordable housing, multi-modal transit,  arts, culture, and music, and more.

This program is generously supported with funding from Lime. The Festival Trail Initiative is a partnership of Move LA, Agency: Artifact, FASTLinkDTLA, Somos, and Spherical Studio, and is a legacy project of the California Community Foundation.

Date: Friday, December 13th from 1 pm – 5pm

Location: The Metaphor Club, 4333 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90008

The Metro ‘K’ Line Station is across the street with frequent service, and two Metro bus lines run down Crenshaw Blvd. Limited parking is available on adjacent streets.

Plenty of snacks, coffee, and drinks will be provided. We will end with a holiday reception with light refreshments and drinks from 5-6pm.
